Dresser & buffet
This is certainly one piece of furniture that needs more than a little thought before making a choice. Indispensable for the many items of tableware it can store, it is hardly what you could call a discrete item. The good old wooden buffet or sideboard once in place will neither be easy to forget nor to move. So we strongly recommend you take a little time to measure the impact, in terms of volume, space and decoration, that the arrival of a " sideboard or china cabinet " or any other buffet or dresser will have on your interior. But well chosen and cleverly placed, you will be more than entitled to congratulate yourself on its presence. And storing tableware , cutlery and linen will suddenly become so much easier. Read more
A low dresser or sideboard
The traditional dresser, which is usually two separate items placed on top of one another, is justly renowned and much loved, but it does require a high ceiling and plenty of space. It is one of the reasons why the Saulaie catalogue concentrates more on the sideboard, significantly lower, available in varying widths, with two or three doors and, in some cases, with drawers as well. If you prefer a more traditional sideboard, Maison Saulaie can help you choose between a rustic country design, a Louis XV style (Provençal) or Louis XVI (Berry). But our selection is not limited to these, we also offer a wider vision of the traditional buffet, with a selection of models reminiscent of the world of hunting (Saint Hubert buffet) and other creations of a more naval inspiration(the Officier range).
A corner cupboard, to add a little height
The Saulaie selection of dressers and buffets is not simply limited to the "low sideboard". To give a vertical lift to a room without taking up unnecessary space, the corner cupboard offers an interesting option. There is of course a low model with one drawer and a single door with moulding. But others are more imposing, such as the Louis XVI "Berry" corner cupboard, a particularly attractive storage cabinet with four doors and two drawers. In solid wood, it is traditionally made with wooden dowel fixings and finished with a walnut stain.
