Designer console and console with four legs
Easily moved, the console is now used for a wide range of uses, throughout the home. Its shape has changed considerably since its first introduction. As with the Scandinavian model "Lund", it is often supported by four legs and can also accommodate one or two drawers. Today's designer console design is no longer topped by a marble slab. Designer console in aluminium or a designer console in wood, both stand out for the originality of their lines and the materials used. By choosing the "Delta" range proposed by Maison Saulaie you can adapt the traditionally inspired console to a totally contemporary interior. It becomes a modern item of furniture that continues to stand out by its lightness and elegance.
What is a console for?
Whether you choose the designer console, the Louis XV console or the French Directoire style (also available from Saulaie), the possible uses are wide. Used for post and keys, it becomes the perfect item for your entrance hall. A place that also provide a reminder of its second name in French "pied de trumeau", when it is used as a support for a pier glass or trumeau and thus topped by a mirror or a picture. In a living room or sitting room, it is ideal to place a table lamp, photos or ornaments. It then takes on a more decorative role. And of course you can certainly use it for its original purpose, in the dining room as a small sideboard for dishes or bottles to create space on the main table. So practical, so many uses... it can be difficult to decide when a piece of furniture is so lightweight, easy to move and adaptable.
